Behaviour Documentation
There are many different forms for recording behaviour and teachers can even develop their own behaviour documentation form. Before commencing behaviour documentation, teachers need to ensure that they know what they are documenting and why.
Below are two examples of behaviour documentation used at Tangara School.
1) Incident Form
This is a quick and simple way of recording a variety of behaviours. It can be used as data collection to review recurring behaviours and/or to monitor the success of an Indivudal Behaviour Plan.
2) Antecedent Behaviour Consequence (ABC) Form
This is a way of determining why a behaviour might be reccuring. The identified behaviour needs to be documented along with what happened just before (antecedent) and straight after (consequence).
